welcome to anchorage grace

At the heart of our church is a desire to grow believers into mature Christ-followers so we can be everything God intends us to be. We gather each Sunday to meet together in community, love each other in service, and grow together through the preaching of God’s Word.

worship in the round

5:00pm (1st Sunday of every month)

what to expect

Anchorage Grace is located in South Anchorage, on the corner of Pintail and Huffman Rd., just past Lake Otis. Get directions from your location below:

There is plenty of parking available in front of the building, but there’s also additional parking on each side and in the back. The building has two main entrances. The large glass doors closest to the road are our main doors to the church, but if you need to park further away, you can come in through either the large glass doors across the parking lot or through the double doors at the midpoint of the building.

When you arrive, the first place to go is the welcome desk, which is located in the lobby by the main staircase. Someone will be there to greet you, help you check in your children to the AGC Kids ministry, and answer any questions you have.

In total, a worship service at AGC is about 90 minutes in length. Services begin with a welcome from one of our pastors. Then our band leads the church in singing a few songs. Song lyrics are projected onto the front screen so you can sing. We then have a time of Scripture reading and prayer led by a pastor followed by brief announcements. Then our bands leads the church in a few more songs.

After the music portion of the service, our senior pastor (or sometimes another pastor) comes and preaches a message from the Bible. The Bible is central to everything we do at Anchorage Grace, so it’s no surprise that we dedicate a significant portion of our service to preaching. Normally, we’re working section-by-section through a book of the Bible, and each message is around 45 minutes in length.

Music is an important part of our time together. We see it as a way to express our faith together in unison, and a way of connecting our affections with what we believe. Our band can look different every week, and our music is a blend of hymns and new songs all set to a contemporary style.

In the end, though, we focus on the content of our songs far more than the musical style. Our auditorium is equipped with a fantastic sound system which gives our music a full presence without feeling too loud.

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every week – and at AGC we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our AGC Kids ministry the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get your kids signed in. AGC Kids ministry is offered during the 10:30am Sunday morning worship service for kids ages infant through 6th grade.
