Our Phase
III facility expansion is the culmination of our Huffman-Pintail
Campus Master Plan which began 27 years ago. Our current debt
free facility has now grown to 70,400 square feet and will increase
with Phase III to 99,600 square feet. Phase III is being led by
both Anchorage Grace Church and our largest ministry, Grace Christian
School. We have committed to build the entire expansion debt free.
In 2005, the growth
of both our church and school led us to refine our plans to meet
our pressing needs, while looking forward to ministry opportunities.
For Phase III, the church is taking the lead to add a new 350
seat Chapel and 4 more offices on the second floor. This will
add 4,100 square feet to the north end of our facility. Grace
Christian School is taking the lead to build a new double Gymnasium
with locker rooms, another 6 new classrooms, and 7 administrative
offices. This 25,100 square foot complex will be south of the
existing High School Commons.
Gymnasium
Construction
Grace Christian School is coordinating with McGee Industries,
the Phase III General Contractor, to strategize a Phased Construction
Plan for the Gym-Academic addition. Estimated construction costs
in late 2005 were $4,528,000 for the complete project. With planning
fees plus three years of future funding for the Grace Annual Fund,
the total Capital Campaign goal is $5,800,000. To date, over $1,800,000
has been contributed and pledged. Visit the Grace
Christian School website to see more about this exciting
project. Please contact Matt Friese, GCS Development Director,
for information on the Phase III Gym-Academic addition.
Beyond
Phase III
Anchorage Grace Church is pro-actively considering several ministry
and campus expansions in Anchorage. To the
north, we have been partnering with Mountain View Baptist Church
to help rebuild and expand this community of believers. In the
south, as property adjacent to our current church-school campus
becomes available, we desire to add parking areas and play fields.
In all of this, we seek the wisdom of God aiming to follow Christ
alone, daily serving our Lord with joy.
