Dennis
Richardson
Dennis Richardson was born into a Christian home in Everett, Washington
in 1957. Although his grandparents and many aunts and uncles were
in full-time Christian ministry all over the world, Dennis’
parents, William and Elizabeth Richardson felt God calling them
to a ministry to children in Washington. After hosting dozens
of foster children in their home, they adopted nine children in
addition to their four biological children.
When he was
five, Dennis realized his need for a Savior, and surrendered his
heart to Lord. A few years later as a teenager, Dennis began to
realize that God was calling him to full-time Christian service.
After graduating from high school in 1976, he served several short-term
missions commitments in Central and South America. It wasn’t
until he completed his college degree in 1983 that he began to
seriously pursue a career in missions. Through God’s divine
leading he pursued ministry with Arctic Missions (now known as
InterAct Ministries), and in 1984 began serving in Alaska. In
1987 he met Celesta in Alaska and they were married a year later.
They have served together with InterAct Ministries in several
roles including church planting in bush Alaska, leadership development,
and most recently as missionary/pastor at Mountain View Baptist
Church.
Dennis, Celesta,
and their three children, Seth, Elizabeth, and Sara have been
a part of the Anchorage Grace family since 1998. Dennis has been
serving as an elder for the past five years. |
